Who Should Apply

  • This is a fixed-term job, not a regular one. It lasts 2 years or until the work is done, whichever comes first, and either side can end it with one month’s notice. BHEL says it gives no right to a regular BHEL job.
  • There is only one post, and BHEL will call at most 10 people for the interview. If more than 10 apply, the top 10 by graduation marks are picked, so those marks matter at the very first step.
  • Two years of translation experience is compulsory. You must prove it with a letter on the official letterhead of the authority you worked under. If you cannot get this letter, you cannot send the proof the notice asks for.
  • The job is at the Rudrapur plant in Uttarakhand, and the notice mentions no other place. The work week is up to 6 days of 8 hours.
  • Plan the interview trip yourself. BHEL pays no travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) to candidates who come for the interview, and you must show your original documents there.

Selection Process

StageDetails
Stage 1: ScreeningDone only if more than 10 applications come in. BHEL ranks them by total marks in graduation and shortlists at most 10 for the interview. If two candidates have the same marks, the one with higher marks in the Hindi subject gets preference.
Stage 2: InterviewHeld in the first week of December 2026 at BHEL CFP, Rudrapur. BHEL sends the call by email, separately. You carry your original documents. No TA/DA is paid.
Before JoiningThe selected candidate gives the self-declaration and shows the medical fitness certificate.

In short, the notice lists only an interview and no written exam. If many people apply, your graduation marks decide who gets an interview, and the interview then decides who gets the job.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Sending photocopies you have not signed yourself. The notice asks for self-attested copies.
  • Writing your name differently from your high school certificate. The form asks for capital letters exactly as on that certificate.
  • Sending an experience letter that is not on an authority’s letterhead, or that leaves out the period and the area of work.
  • Forgetting the passport photo on the form, or leaving it unsigned.
  • Counting your age from today. BHEL counts it as on 30.10.2026.
  • Not checking careers.bhel.in. BHEL can reschedule, cancel or suspend the process without giving a reason, and it says any change will be posted only there.
