Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying for more than one discipline — the notification says such applications will not be considered and will be rejected outright.
  • Sending an application directly to AAI Nagpur instead of applying through NATS 2.0; only applications received online through the NATS portal are considered.
  • Applying without a Maharashtra domicile for Nagpur or the nearby area — this is a hard eligibility bar, not a preference.
  • Leaving a CGPA on the mark sheet unconverted; the notification puts the burden of converting it into a percentage squarely on the candidate.
  • Applying after having already completed, terminated or begun another apprenticeship at the same qualification level, or with one year or more of training or job experience gained after the essential qualification — both make a candidate ineligible under the Apprentices Act.
  • Leaving the NATS profile unverified at the Regional BOAT portal, which the notification calls the sole responsibility of the candidate.
  • Treating the apprenticeship as a route to a permanent job — AAI states plainly that it has no obligation to offer employment afterwards.
