- Complete your One-Time Registration (OTR) on the SSC website ssc.gov.in. An OTR generated on the old website ssc.nic.in will not work on the new website.
- Log in with your OTR credentials and open the Online Application Form for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2026. You may also apply through the ‘mySSC’ mobile application.
- Fill in your details exactly as recorded in your Matriculation certificate, capture the live photograph through the application module (no pre-existing photograph is accepted), and upload your scanned signature in JPEG format, 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high.
- Choose up to three examination centres within the same region in order of preference, then pay the fee of Rs. 100 online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or a Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or RuPay debit card. Women, SC, ST and eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Submitting more than one application — if two applications with different registration numbers are detected, all of them are rejected and your candidature is cancelled.
- Missing the correction window of 08.10.2026 to 10.10.2026 — after it closes, no change is allowed under any circumstances, in any form.
