- Fill in your personal, educational and post-preference details, and select the General Engineering subject (Part-A to Part-G) matching your qualification — this choice cannot be changed later under any circumstances.
- Capture a live photograph when prompted by the application module (plain background, good light, camera at eye level, no cap, mask or spectacles) and upload your scanned signature in JPEG format, 10 to 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide by 2.0 cm high.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Choosing the wrong General Engineering subject (Part-A to Part-G) in the application form — the stream cannot be changed later under any circumstances, and you must appear in the paper you opted for.
- Skipping the Online Option Form for post preferences — candidates who do not submit preferences in time are dropped from the final result entirely, regardless of their merit position.
