Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying without the IIBF Certification in Forex Operations — it is an essential qualification, not a preferred one, and the certificate must be dated on or before 31.07.2026.
  • Treating teaching or training work as eligible experience. The notification states plainly that teaching and training experience is not counted.
  • Uploading an experience certificate that does not specifically mention trade finance processing — a generic banking experience letter can cost you the shortlisting.
  • Submitting more than one application for the same post. Only the last valid application is retained and the fee paid on the other registrations is forfeited.
  • Waiting until 19.09.2026 to register. The fee must also be paid by that date, and a payment failure on the last day cannot be corrected afterwards.
  • Assuming a posting close to home. Hyderabad and Kolkata are the indicative centres, and the Bank states that requests for any other centre will not be considered.
