Selection Process
| Stage | Details |
|---|---|
| Stage 1 — Shortlisting | Provisional shortlisting on the basis of the application, without verification of original documents. A shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank decides the parameters and an adequate number of candidates is called for interview. Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification and experience gives no right to be called; the Bank’s decision is final and no correspondence is entertained. |
| Stage 2 — Interview | One or more rounds of personal, telephonic or video interview carrying 100 marks. Qualifying marks in the interview are decided by the Bank. Specific skills listed for Investment Specialist, Investment Officer and AVP Wealth — knowledge of investments and markets across asset classes, portfolio management and advisory, asset allocation and re-balancing, presentation, leadership and teamwork, and fixed income, equity and alternate market products — are tested at this stage. |
| Stage 3 — CTC Negotiation | CTC negotiation is conducted with candidates one-by-one at the time of the interview, or separately after the interview process is completed. |
| Stage 4 — Merit List | Merit list prepared in descending order of interview scores only. Where candidates tie at the cut-off, they are ranked by age in descending order. |
| Stage 5 — Document Verification and Medical Fitness | All details and documents are verified against originals when a candidate reports for interview. Engagement is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit as per the Bank’s requirement, and to production of a discharge certificate from the previous employer where applicable. |

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not repeat a Circle when indicating your three Circle preferences — the Bank will exercise its own discretion on an incorrect selection, and its decision is final and binding.
- Do not submit an experience certificate that only states your designation; it must specifically record experience in the related field required for the post, or the candidature can be cancelled at any stage.
- Do not count teaching or training experience, or any stint of less than six months in an organisation, towards the mandatory experience requirement — neither is recognised.
- Do not pay the fee before checking every particular in the form, since no change or edit is permitted after payment and corrections are not allowed after final submission.
- Do not apply if you were issued an offer letter under a previous Wealth Management and Premier Banking exercise and did not join, or if you resigned from these contract posts — a two-year debarment applies from the date of non-joining or resignation.
- Do not upload a signature in capital letters or a photograph with caps, hats or dark glasses, and do not leave any required document unuploaded — an incomplete upload disqualifies the application from shortlisting.
