UR means Unreserved (general) and EWS means Economically Weaker Section. The notice does not say which of the 12 Specialist posts are full time and which are part time. It also says the hospital can increase, decrease, add or remove posts at any stage, and that seats for persons with benchmark disability follow Government of India rules without a seat count.

Age RelaxationSC, ST, OBC, PwBD (persons with benchmark disability) and ex-servicemen get relaxation as per DoPT (Department of Personnel and Training) rules. The notice gives no numbers.

In short: a doctor aged 44 on the interview date with an MD qualifies as a Senior Resident, but the same doctor needs 3 years of experience after the MD to be a Specialist. Age is checked on the day of each round, so a later round uses a later date.

Not sure whether you are within the age limit?
Enter your date of birth, use 18.11.2026 as the cut-off date and add your category relaxation to see instantly whether you are inside the 45 year limit for Senior Resident or the 67 year limit for Specialist.

Who Should Apply

  • These are contract jobs, not regular posts. Selected doctors have no claim to a permanent job, PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, seniority or promotion, and either side can end the contract with one month’s notice.
  • If you have just finished your MD, MS or DNB, look at the Senior Resident posts first, because they need no experience. The Specialist posts ask for 3 years after the PG degree.
  • The Part Time Specialist post suits a doctor who already works elsewhere: it is four hours a day for four days a week. Full Time Specialists and Senior Residents may not do private practice, and the notice has no such line for Part Time Specialists.
  • Do not come if your PG result is still awaited. The notice says only candidates who hold the degree and registration on the interview date will be considered.
  • You pay for your own travel and stay. The notice gives no TA/DA (travel allowance), no hostel, no quarters and no uniform.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not arrive after 11:00 AM. The notice says nobody is allowed into document verification after that time.
  • Use an OBC certificate in the DoPT format of 30.05.2014 only. A certificate in any other format is treated as General category, and one older than a year is not accepted.
  • Write the draft in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1”, payable at Gwalior, and confirm the amount first, because the notice shows both Rs 500 and Rs 300.
  • Bring the NOC if you are in service. The notice asks for it at the time of the interview.
  • Check the ESIC Recruitments page before every later round. Dates and posts can change without notice, and no newspaper advertisement will be issued.
  • Carry your registration renewal as well as the registration certificate, because the notice lists both.
