- Paste a recent passport-size photograph on the printed call letter, preferably the same one you uploaded with your application.
Note: If you have forgotten your credentials, use the “Forgot Password” option on the same login page. Download the call letter before 08.09.2026 — the portal closes after the last exam day and no candidate is allowed into the exam without an admit card issued by UPCISB.
Documents to Carry to the Exam Center
| Document | Format / Notes |
|---|---|
| Printed call letter (admit card) | Clear printout with a recent passport-size photograph pasted on it, preferably the same photograph uploaded with the application. |
| Photo identity proof — original | PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter ID with photograph, Bank Passbook with photograph, photo ID issued by a Gazetted Officer or People’s Representative on official letterhead, valid College or University ID, Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with photograph, Employee ID, or Bar Council ID. Ration Card and Learner’s Driving Licence are not accepted. |
| Photo identity proof — photocopy | One photocopy of the same ID you bring in original. Hand it to the invigilator stapled together with the call letter. |
| Aadhaar Card | Required for Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication at the venue. |
| Ball point pen | Mandatory. A rough sheet is provided at the venue and must be handed back before you leave. |
| Name-change proof (if applicable) | Original Gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit, if the name on your ID differs from the name on the call letter. |
Exam Day Instructions
| Item | What the handout says |
|---|---|
| Reporting time | As printed on the call letter. Latecomers are not allowed to appear. The test runs 120 minutes but plan on about 180 minutes at the venue including login, document checks and instructions. |
| Venue recce | Visiting the venue a day earlier to confirm the location is advised, so that you can report on time on exam day. |
| Biometric — thumb | Thumb impression is captured before the exam. Wash off any mehndi, stamp ink or colour, and make sure both hands are clean and dry. Report an injured thumb to the centre authority immediately. |
| Biometric — IRIS | The left eye IRIS is captured for every candidate. Remove contact lenses and spectacles during capture, and prefer spectacles over lenses on exam day. There is no touch — the scanner stays about half a foot from the eye. |
| Photograph capture | A photograph is taken at the venue and matched against the one uploaded in your application, so do not change your appearance from that photograph. |
| Dress code | Metal detectors are used. Wear light clothes with no metal zips or buttons, half sleeves without big buttons, badges or brooches, and slippers or sandals rather than shoes and socks. Candidates in customary or religious dress and PwBD candidates should report well before the reporting time. |
| Prohibited items | Calculators (separate or built into a watch), books, notebooks, written notes and any electronic device. |
| During the exam | Do not press any keyboard key once the exam starts — this locks the exam. Answers count only when saved with “Save and Next” or “Mark for Review and Next”. Final submission is only possible after the full test time is exhausted. |
| Unfair means | The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and the U.P. Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 (U.P. Act No. 8 of 2024, notified 06 August 2024) apply. Answer-pattern similarity across candidates is analysed and can lead to cancellation of candidature. |

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Leaving the download to the last day. The portal closes on 08.09.2026, which is also the second exam day, so a login problem on that date leaves you with no time to sort it out.
- Carrying a Ration Card or a Learner’s Driving Licence as your photo ID — neither is accepted, and you will not be allowed to appear.
- Turning up with an ID whose name does not exactly match the call letter. Candidates who changed their name after marriage must carry the original Gazette notification, marriage certificate or affidavit.
- Forgetting the Aadhaar Card — it is needed for Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication, separately from your photo ID.
- Wearing contact lenses on exam day, or arriving with mehndi or stamp ink on your fingers, either of which can block IRIS or thumb capture and lead to non-admittance.
- Wearing shoes and socks, metal zips or clothes with big buttons and badges, which slow down frisking and are against the stated dress code.
- Assuming a printed call letter alone is enough — you also need a photograph pasted on it, the original photo ID, a photocopy of that ID and a ball point pen.
